Raised feeders are recommended by some veterinarians for certain breed types, older dogs, or dogs with specific medical problems; however, any dog can use a raised feeder.
Raised feeding can improve digestion by minimizing the amount of air swallowed during the chewing process. It can also help maintain good posture and put less strain on joints and hips.
Elevated dishes help keep feeding areas clean because the food and water stay in the bowls, not on the floor. Your Dishy Dog® diner won’t slide while your dog eats, which also ensures a cleaner feeding area.
Cleaning Your Feeder The stainless steel bowls provided with your Dishy Dog® diner are removable and dishwasher safe, so you can keep your dog’s dishes clean and sterile. It is not recommended to use anything like Windex or Pine-sol on the acrylic. This includes any cleaning chemicals with solvents or a high alcohol content. The acrylic can be cleaned with soap and water or a plastics cleaner.
